How Do I Know I'm Ordering the Correct Part for My Vehicle?

How to Select the Correct Part for Your Car?

Choosing the correct part for your vehicle can be overwhelming and confusing! When it comes to picking the correct car part there are a few things you need to know. Almost every car has a different part and you need to verify the details of your car first in order to choose the correct auto part for your own specific vehicle. Without knowing these details, you’ll be going back and forth trying .

For example, if an ABS Control Module and Pump (Anti-lock Brake Part Assembly) is listed to be with traction control or without traction control, it is NOT asking if you want traction control or not. It is asking you to specify whether your vehicle has it or not because the manufacturer has put a different part (in this case an ABS Control Module and Pump) in your vehicle depending on whether your car came with traction control or not. Below is an example of the two options for a 2009 Ford F150 ABS Control Module and Pump Assembly. Here the difference between these two parts is whether your vehicle has 4x2 or 4x4. Both of these parts differ in appearance and will NOT both fit your vehicle. If your vehicle has 2 wheel drive (4x2) you will need to purchase the 4x2 because the 4 wheel drive (4x4) option will not fit.

The same goes with any of the parts that list additional details such as manufacture date, traction control, coupe or sedan, dynamic stability control, the list goes on. The good thing is you can confirm all of this information with your dealership upon giving them your VIN. Calling a dealership’s parts department with your VIN, someone should be able to help you confirm these minor but very important details. If you’re still uncertain, hop on a call with one of our team members and we will gladly walk you through the process.

If you still have questions or doubts please email or call us with your VIN! We are here to help.

I can relate to what you said about how because there are a few factors you need to consider when purchasing the right auto component, choosing the right part for your vehicle might be daunting and perplexing. I have an older car that I’m quite attached to, but recently, it started making a strange noise under the hood. So, I’m now in search of specific auto parts to repair the issue and keep my beloved car running smoothly for years to come. https://www.422autosales.com/services

How Do I Know I Am Buying the Right Part for My Vehicle?

Purchasing a part for your vehicle for the first (or the 2nd or 3rd or even the 10th) time can be overwhelming. Many opt for purchasing directly from their car dealership and paying a premium for their part in order to bypass the seemingly challenging obstacles in purchasing a used part for a fraction of the price. However, no matter how daunting the process may seem it really is much simpler than what many may think especially with a little help from your friends at Car Part Source.
