Return & Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident ordering from us. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, as long as the conditions below are met and the returned item is received within 30 days of the original delivery date.


Damaged or Defective Items

If an item arrives damaged, please notify us within 7 days of delivery and include clear photos of the part and packaging so we can file a damage claim with the carrier. Defective items must still be returned and received within 30 days of delivery.

A part is considered defective only if it fails to function as intended after proper installation and, when applicable, required programming, and the failure is supported by diagnostic documentation, photos, or a licensed mechanic’s report. Issues caused by installation errors, programming requirements, or vehicle-side faults are not considered defects.


Return Authorization

To ensure proper handling, all returns must be authorized in advance. Please contact us before sending anything back. Do not return items to the address on the original packaging. Return instructions are provided by email after you contact info@carpartsource.com. Returns sent without authorization or to the wrong address may be delayed or refused.


Return Shipping & Restocking Fees

If you ordered the wrong part or no longer need the item, returns are accepted as long as the part is unused and resellable. In these cases, the customer is responsible for return shipping and a 20% restocking fee.

If we sent an incorrect or verified defective part, we will provide a prepaid return label after verification.

Returned parts must be unmodified, undamaged, and complete with all original components.  Altered, or disassembled parts are not eligible for return unless expressly authorized by CarPartSource in writing prior to return.

Any item with removed, altered, or obscured identifying marks, including paint markings, barcode labels, serial numbers, or engraved identifiers, is not eligible for refund.


Order Cancellations

Cancellations requested more than 2 hours after purchase may incur a 20% restocking fee, even if the order has not yet shipped. This fee covers labor, packaging materials, and non-refundable transaction costs. Orders that have already shipped must follow the standard return process.


Important Guidelines

Please do not refuse delivery or return items to sender, as this will result in outbound and return shipping charges plus the applicable restocking fee.
Customers are responsible for proper packaging and meeting carrier return requirements, even when using a prepaid label.
Refunds apply to the part only. Labor, diagnostic, programming, and installation costs are non-refundable.

Refunds are issued within 2–7 business days after the returned item is received and inspected. Bank or card processing times may vary.


How to Start a Return

Email info@carpartsource.com with your name, order number, and reason for return. We respond within 2 business days with next steps.


Return Eligibility & Denials

Returns that do not meet the conditions above may be denied. If a return is denied, you will be notified by email and may request the item be shipped back to you at your expense within 30 days. If no arrangements are made, the item may be handled according to warehouse policies.
