CarPartSource Extended Warranty Protection Plan
(3-Year and 5-Year Coverage)
This Extended Warranty Protection Plan extends the coverage period of our standard 1-Year Parts Warranty. All original warranty terms, conditions, installation requirements, and exclusions remain in full effect.
This is a PARTS ONLY warranty. Under no circumstances does this plan cover labor, diagnostics, towing, programming, shipping, or any other related expense.
Coverage Period
3-Year Protection: Extends total coverage to three (3) years from original delivery date.
5-Year Protection: Extends total coverage to five (5) years from original delivery date.
Coverage begins on the original carrier-confirmed delivery date.
What Is Covered
Coverage applies only if:
- The part was working properly after installation
- The part later experiences internal mechanical or electronic failure within the coverage period
- The part was installed within 30 days of delivery
- The part was installed by an ASE-certified mechanic at an ASE-certified repair facility
- Required installation procedures and maintenance were completed
- The vehicle remains owned by the original purchaser
- The vehicle is for non-commercial use (commercial vehicles are limited to 90 days)
Coverage is limited to one (1) replacement part of like kind and quality.
No cash refunds will be issued in place of replacement.
What Is Not Covered
This plan does NOT cover:
- Labor costs under any condition
- Diagnostic fees
- Programming or calibration fees
- Towing
- Wear consistent with donor vehicle age
- Improper installation
- Failure to complete required installation, programming, calibration, or diagnostic procedures according to manufacturer standards.
- Failure due to accident, collision, misuse, modification, off-road use, or racing
- Environmental damage (fire, water, lightning, freezing, etc.)
- Manufacturer recalls
- Operation of vehicle after part failure
- Parts installed after 30 days of delivery
- Parts installed on a vehicle other than approved interchange
- Multiple replacements
If a part is defective, damaged, or incorrect upon receipt, it is considered a
return and must be reported within 30 days of delivery.
This Extended Plan is not a return policy.
Documentation Required for Claim Approval
All claims must be initiated via email to info@carpartsource.com.
The following documentation is required:
- Original order number or name on order
- Installation invoice dated within 30 days of delivery
- Repair center letterhead diagnosis describing the failure
- Proof of completion of required
installation procedures (if requested) - Photos of the part showing identifying markings
Documentation must be submitted within 10 days of claim opening.
A claim is considered open once CarPartSource has responded to the warranty inquiry.
Claims must be initiated within 30 days of diagnosis of failure.
The customer is responsible for return shipping of the original part before replacement is issued.
Important Acknowledgment
By purchasing this Extended Warranty Protection Plan, the customer acknowledges:
- This is a PARTS ONLY warranty.
- Labor is never covered under any condition.
- Installation must occur within 30 days of delivery.
- Coverage applies only after proper installation and subsequent failure.
- Coverage is limited to one replacement.
- The plan is non-transferable.
- The plan is non-refundable once the order has shipped.
